Isadora Duncan

Angela Isadora Duncan (May 26, 1877 or May 27, 1878 – September 14, 1927) was an American dancer who performed to great acclaim throughout Europe.

My name is Isadora Duncan. I’m a woman of the world, born in America, living in Europe and loving Russia.

In the beginning of the 20th Century, I was the world’s most famous dancer, taking my movements from the natural sensuality of the ancient Greeks. I have made love to many men, and women, living a carefree but scandalous life.

I met my end in the best way imaginable for a woman of my free spirits…….I was strangled to death when my scarf caught in the wheel spokes of an open car as we drove along the French Riviera….what a life…what a death.
